Notice Regarding Employment History Disclosure
Certificated Applicants
AB 2534 Compliance
In accordance with California Education Code Section 44939.5, as amended by AB 2534, all applicants for certificated positions must provide a complete and accurate record of all employment with Local Educational Agencies (LEAs), school districts, or other educational institutions.
As part of the hiring process, Hawking STEAM Charter Schools, Inc. will verify employment history. This may include obtaining information from previous employers regarding credible allegations, investigations, or disciplinary actions related to egregious misconduct, as defined by Education Code Section 44932
Classified Applicants
SB 848 Compliance
In accordance with Senate Bill 848 and California Education Code section 44051, applicants for classified positions are required to disclose a complete and accurate record of prior employment with Local Educational Agencies, school districts, or other educational institutions.
As part of the hiring process, Hawking STEAM Charter Schools, Inc. may request information from previous educational employers regarding credible complaints, substantiated investigations, or disciplinary actions related to egregious misconduct involving a classified employee. This includes circumstances in which the employee resigned, retired, or otherwise separated from employment prior to a final determination.
